'The Art of Hosting'
Those who know me well will know that I’ve always been a lover of writing, painting, and all things creative expression. There is something so special about putting thoughts, ideas and feelings into words, colours and beautiful details and this little corner of my world is where I get to share some of them with you.
Here, you’ll find inspiration, musings and stories from the world of weddings, design and everything in between. A place to explore ideas, discover inspiration and perhaps see a little more of the creative heart behind what I do.
So, pour yourself a cup of something lovely and stay awhile. I hope you find something here that inspires you.
Before Isadora Marques Weddings, my professional life took me into the world of international etiquette and protocol.
I worked with Minding Manners International, gaining first-hand experience within an international etiquette consultancy, and trained in modern protocol in Brussels during my time there.
I have always been fascinated by the quiet details that shape how an occasion feels, the way guests are welcomed, how a table is set, how a room flows, when tradition has its place, and, perhaps most importantly, how to make people feel genuinely considered.
I am not an etiquette teacher, nor is 'The Art of Hosting' intended to be a guide to rigid rules.
Instead, it is my perspective on the modern art of entertaining and hosting, informed by my experience in the etiquette and protocol world and brought into the context of weddings.
Because good hosting is not about impressing people.
It is about anticipating their needs, putting them at ease and creating an occasion that feels effortless, thoughtful and memorable.
Through 'The Art of Hosting', I will explore modern etiquette, protocol, entertaining, wedding traditions and the details that can transform a beautiful celebration into a beautifully hosted one.
Emotion led. Design driven. Thoughtfully hosted

Not because it requires grand gestures or elaborate rules, but because it requires something much simpler: consideration.A truly well-hosted wedding begins long before the first guest arrives. It begins with thinking about people individually. Where will they sit? What will they enjoy? What will make […]
